1 Person Hospitalized in Bicycle Crash on Peach Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (September 12, 2023) — One person suffered an injury in a bicycle accident on Peach Avenue near Clay Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police Officers, the bicycle accident happened around 8:10 p.m. Sunday. Under unclear circumstances, a woman believed to be in her 50s reportedly drove through an intersection on a green traffic light and struck a bicyclist in the southbound lanes of Peach Avenue.
 
Shortly after, paramedics and officers arrived and found the man with lacerations and possible broken limbs. Due to his state, emergency personnel shuttled him to Community Regional Medical Center for care.
 
According to an investigation, the accident happened as the man was biking east to west as the driver was heading southbound. Authorities have not said if impairment played a role. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm these details.
