Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Yosemite Avenue Accident in Madera

 
MADERA, CA (February 19, 2024) — One person died in a pedestrian accident near Yosemite Avenue and B Street.
 
According to Madera Police, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a pedestrian reportedly crawled onto the intersection at the marked crosswalk. Subsequently, an unidentified driver in an oncoming vehicle struck the victim.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and took the pedestrian to a hospital, where the individual passed away. Officials did not publish the victim’s name. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
