1 Dead in Discovery Bay Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Highway 4

 
DISCOVERY BAY, CA (November 20, 2023) — One person died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 4 near Newport Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 11:40 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a westbound driver struck a pedestrian in the Discovery Bay area.
 
Moments later, emergency medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. At the time of the report, officials did not release the victim’s name.
