1 Dead in Single-Car Accident on Road 196 in Tulare County
TULARE COUNTY, CA (April 13, 2023) — One person died in a solo-car crash on Road 196 near Avenue 336.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-car crash happened around 8:00 p.m. Sunday. For unknown reasons, a man operating a southbound 2006 Dodge Ram on Road 196 veered out of his lane. Subsequently, the Dodge pickup traveled into the northbound lane and crashed into a concrete bridge.
As a result of the accident, the unidentified driver suffered fatal injuries.
Traffic investigators have not said if drugs or alcohol played a factor, but an investigation into the details should reveal more information.
