Deadly Motorcycle Accident on 880 Freeway in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA (October 1, 2024) — One person died after a motorcycle crashed into an overturned car on the 880 Freeway near The Alameda.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-car crash happened around 4:40 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a driver lost control and crashed into the center divider wall, causing the car to overturn. Sometime later, an oncoming motorcyclist plowed into the overturned vehicle. The impact ejected the motorcyclist off the bike and into nearby bushes.
Around 5:45 a.m., CHP officers arrived and confirmed at least one fatal victim. However, police neither confirmed the victim’s name nor if the driver or motorcyclist had passed away.
