Early Morning Crash on 10 Freeway in Jefferson Park Leaves One Person Dead and Injures Six Others

 
JEFFERSON PARK, CA (July 21, 2024) – One person died and six other people were injured in a car accident on 10 Freeway in the Jefferson Park community of South Los Angeles early Sunday morning on July 21.
 
The crash occurred about 3:20 a.m. at Arlington Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the freeway when it spun out and crashed. Another vehicle then crashed into that car.
 
One person, an occupant of a Toyota Camry, was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not immediately clear if that person was the driver or a passenger.
 
Six other people were transported to a hospital, two of them were in critical condition.
 
No further details were immediately available. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
