Wrong-Way Driver Causes Fatal Crash on Highway 29 in Napa
NAPA, CA (August 15, 2022) – One person died and four others were injured in a wrong-way accident on Highway 29 in Napa late Saturday, August 13.
The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. just north of the George F. Butler Memorial Bridge. According to the Napa Police Department, one vehicle drove southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 29 striking four vehicles that were heading northbound.
As a result of the crash, one of the drivers suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Two other drivers and two passengers were injured and taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center and Kaiser Vacaville.
Meanwhile, the other two drivers involved were unharmed.
