Fiery Head-On Crash on 15 Freeway in Victorville Kills One Driver

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (November 25, 2024) – One person died and two others were injured in a fiery head-on accident on 15 Freeway in Victorville Saturday afternoon on November 23.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:10 p.m. just south of Nisqualli Road. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a blue Audi GTRS was traveling south on Mariposa Road when it struck a curb and drifted onto the freeway lanes. It then collided head-on into a gray Nissan Pathfinder.
 
The impact caused one of the cars to catch fire.
 
Responding firefighters extricated one person from the wreckage.
The man driving the Audi suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
The driver of the Nissan and a passenger only sustained minor injuries.
 
It was unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
