Fatal 2-Car Crash on Kansas Avenue in Kings County
KINGS COUNTY, CA (April 5, 2022) — One person died in a 2-car accident on Kansas Avenue and Highway 43 on Friday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle collision happened around 10:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 54-year-old man in a Toyota driving eastbound on Kansas Avenue drifted into the opposing lane.
Subsequently, the Toyota collided with an oncoming Ford, shuttling four people who suffered minor to moderate injuries in a crash.
Soon after, paramedics responded to the crash site and confirmed the death of the Toyota driver at the scene.
Meanwhile, emergency personnel brought one person to Adventist Health hospital in Tulare for treatment.
At this time, CHP officers have not determined what drove the accident, which happened between Hanford and Corcoran. However, they will look into whether DUI played a factor.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of the victim.
