1 Hurt in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101 in Laytonville
LAYTONVILLE, CA (April 24, 2023) — One person was injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 101 near Mile Marker 63.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle accident happened around 9:38 a.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, a motorcycle rider crashed on the northbound side of the highway south of Laytonville.
Shortly after, emergency personnel responded and tended to the victim who suffered broken ribs, cuts and road rash.
Meanwhile, crews investigated the scene as traffic slowly moved to a crawl through the area.
Traffic investigators did not say what led to the accident or if speed, distracted driving or impairment played a factor. However, a follow-up investigation should provide more details.
