Wrong-Way Driver Causes Head-On Crash on Mission Gorge Road in Allied Gardens
ALLIED GARDENS, CA (November 27, 2024) – One person was hospitalized in a wrong-way head-on accident on Mission Gorge Road in San Diego’s Allied Gardens neighborhood early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened around 1:00 a.m. on November 26, in the 6700 block of Mission Gorge Road. According to the San Diego Police Department, a Honda Civic was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it slammed head-on into Nissan sedan.
Paramedics transported the driver of the Nissan to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Meanwhile, police arrested the female driver of the Honda for unspecified charges.
An investigation into the cause of the crash and factors involved is ongoing.
