1 Killed in Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway in Yreka

 
YREKA, CA (December 16, 2024) — One person was injured in a rollover accident on the 5 Freeway near Anderson Grade Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car crash happened around 12:14 a.m. Friday. Due to possible icy road conditions, a driver lost control of a 1991 Toyota Previa. Subsequently, the car crashed and rolled over, ejecting one person from the vehicle.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene, but a 61-year-old woman from Woodburn, Ore., died in the crash. Three other occupants in the car, described as a 75-year-old man and a 34-year-old man, also from Woodburn, and a 51-year-old man from Gervais, Ore., suffered minor to major injuries. Paramedics took them to Fairchild Medical Center by Mt. Shasta Ambulance.
