Fatal 2-Car Crash on Highway 26 in San Joaquin County

 
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (October 7, 2024) — One person died in a head-on accident on Highway 26 near Shelley Road.
 
According to the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Protection District, the two-car crash happened around 10:24 a.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, two vehicles collided head-on in San Joaquin County. Subsequently, firefighter-paramedics responded and confirmed one fatality, as well as two injuries.
 
Officials did not disclose the victims’ names or what caused the crash. However, the California Highway Patrol officers are investigating this accident to identify factors.
