At Least 1 Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash near Henderson Street in Eureka

 
EUREKA, CA (August 12, 2024) — At least one person was injured in a 2-car accident near Henderson Street and K Street.
 
According to reports, the two-car crash happened around 8:40 a.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, two cars, described as a Jeep and a Toyota Tacoma pickup, collided near Henderson Street and K Street. Subsequently, Humboldt Bay Fire responded to the scene with the Jaws of Life apparatus to free at least one occupant. Upon arriving, they found the Jeep stopped on a residence’s lawn and the pickup several feet away.
 
After the crash, officers gave the pickup truck driver a field sobriety test. However, authorities did not say if DUI truly factored into the cause.
