Head-On Crash on Buena Vista Boulevard in Bakersfield Leaves 2 Drivers Dead

 
BAKEFSFIELD, CA (July 22, 2024) – Two people were killed in a head-on accident on Buena Vista Boulevard in Bakersfield early Saturday morning on July 20.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:58 a.m. just west of Adobe Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling eastbound on Buena Vista Boulevard. At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound.
 
For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, the 52-year-old man driving a Tahoe and the 45-year-old man driving a Silverado both died at the scene.
 
A passenger in the Tahoe, a 39-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
