1 Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Shaw Avenue in Fresno County
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 24, 2024) — A woman died in a two-car accident on Shaw Avenue and Indianola Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 7:15 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a woman driving on Shaw Avenue failed to slow down behind a driver turning left. Subsequently, the car struck the vehicle in front attempting a left turn onto Indianola Avenue.
Soon after, emergency personnel responded to the scene and confirmed the driver of the vehicle that was hit, described as a woman in her ’80s, deceased from her injuries. The woman in her 40s in the other car reported no major injuries.
Following the crash, CHP investigators did not believe impairment factored into the cause. However, they will look into this crash further.
