1 Pedestrian Struck Dead at Johnson Road in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (May 28, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car at Johnson Road and Coyote Road Thursday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 10:40 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a Ford Mustang struck a pedestrian. Subsequently, San Bernardino County firefighters responded to assist with the injured. However, the victim passed away from severe injuries.
 
Due to the accident, police closed Johnson Road in both directions to investigate. At this time, the Victorville CHP office is handling the crash. If anyone has additional insight, please call the CHP.
