23-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Juvenile Driver on No Name Uno in Gilroy

 
GILROY, CA (May 21, 2024) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on No Name Uno in Gilroy early Sunday morning on May 19.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:30 a.m. near the St. Louise Regional Hospital. According to the Gilroy Police Department, the male pedestrian was hit by a juvenile driver in unclear circumstances.
 
A nurse from the hospital was driving by and provided medical aid but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Authorities only identified the victim as a 23-year-old Gilroy resident.
 
Meanwhile, the juvenile driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
