Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Trolley at El Cajon Transit Center

 
EL CAJON, CA (May 8, 2024) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a trolley at El Cajon Transit Center Tuesday morning on May 7.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:50 a.m. on Marshall Avenue. According to the El Cajon Police Department, a San Diego Metropolitan Transit System Trolley train struck the pedestrian at the tracks at 352 South Marshall Avenue.
 
The pedestrian, who El Cajon police said was female, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The victim’s identity was withheld at this time.
 
El Cajon police said MTS is handling the investigation into the crash.
