Pedestrian Dies in Early Morning Crash on Vermont Avenue in Gardena
GARDENA, CA (February 12, 2024) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at Vermont Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard in Gardena early Sunday morning.
The fatal accident happened around 3:54 a.m. on February 11. According to the Gardena Police Department, a vehicle was traveling southbound on Vermont Avenue when it struck the female pedestrian at the intersection.
Paramedics arrived soon after and rushed the woman to a hospital with significant injuries.
Despite life-saving efforts at the hospital, the woman was pronounced dead. She was not yet identified.
The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
