1 Critically Hurt in Motorcycle, Vehicle Accident on Casitas Pass Road in Carpinteria

 
CARPINTERIA, CA (June 13, 2023) — One person was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Casitas Pass Road near Foothill Road Saturday.
 
According to reports, the two-vehicle crash happened around 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Under unclear circumstances, a motorcyclist and a vehicle collided in the 5600 block of Casitas Pass Road.
 
Soon after, CHP officers, Carpinteria – Summerland Fire Department officials and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office arrived. Emergency crews assisted the adult male, whom paramedics took to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for his major head injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officials closed the road to work on the investigation. At this time, the crash details are unclear, but authorities will look closely into what happened.
