19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Carlos Castillo Dies after Crashing into Car in San Joaquin County

 
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (October 4, 2022) – A teen died in a motorcycle accident on Dove Road in San Joaquin County on Sunday afternoon, September 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Escalon resident Carlos Castillo rode a 2020 Apollo off-road motorcycle west on Dove Road. Castillo then stopped for a stop sign at Escalon-Bellota Road just before 2:00 p.m.
 
At the same time, a 64-year-old man from Alamo drove a 2016 Lexus southbound on Escalon-Bellota Road at approximately 55 mph.
 
For an unknown reason, Castillo pulled into the path of the approaching vehicle. As a result, he struck the side of the Lexus and was ejected from his bike.
 
Emergency personal pronounced Castillo dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the Lexus declined treatment on scene.
 
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The CHP Stockton Office asked anyone with further information to contact them at 209-938-4800.
