Two-Vehicle Accident on East Mariposa Road in Stockton Ends in Fatality

 
STOCKTON, CA (August 4, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on East Mariposa Road in Stockton on Tuesday.
 
The accident happened around 5:43 p.m. on August 2 at the intersection with Murphy Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white GMC Yukon was traveling recklessly when it collided with a black sedan.
 
The impact of the crash caused the sedan to overturn. The GMC went down into a ditch.
 
First responders found at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once family members are notified.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
