56-Year-Old Woman Dies in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash, Teen Suspect Arrested

 
FRESNO, CA (July 26, 2022) – Diana Hernandez was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Tulare Avenue in southeast Fresno on Sunday evening, July 24.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 9:00 p.m. near 9th Street. According to the Fresno Police Department, officers came upon several stopped cars on Tulare Avenue and found Hernandez down in the road.
 
Paramedics immediately responded to render aid, but Hernandez died at the scene.
 
The victim was 56 years old.
 
Police later arrested 18-year-old Andres Rodriguez-Cervantes and booked him in the Fresno County Jail on felony hit-and-run charges.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
