Shelli Ross Dies in 2-Car Crash on Highway 49 near China Hill Road

 
EL DORADO, CA (July 15, 2022) — Shelli Ross died in a 2-car accident on Highway 49 near China Hill Road Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to a California Highway Patrol collision report, the fatal two-vehicle accident happened just before 4:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, 53-year-old Shelli R. Ross became involved in a collision with another vehicle. Her 1996 Ford Explorer crashed into a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by an El Dorado woman. Due to the impact, her Explorer overturned and ejected her from the vehicle.
 
Responding personnel found her dead at the scene. At this time, the leading cause of the crash and other details need more investigating. However, police believe Ross was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
