Man Servicing Truck Struck and Killed on 215 Freeway in Perris

 
PERRIS, CA (May 18, 2022) — A man working on a truck was hit and killed on the 215 Freeway near Nuevo Road on Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 10:15 a.m. For unknown reasons, a man driving a pickup on the northbound 215 Freeway allowed the vehicle to veer off the edge of the road.
 
Subsequently, the driver’s car struck a box truck pulled over to the right-hand shoulder, as well as a man who was servicing the car’s radiator.
 
As a result of the accident, the unidentified victim servicing the truck suffered fatal injuries and died later at the scene as confirmed by Riverside County Fire Department crews.
 
The fatal victim’s companion, as well as the pickup truck driver, reported no injuries.
