Hector Hirales Killed in Hit-and-Run on Trinity Street [Los Angeles, CA]

Pedestrian Hector Hirales Dead after Hit-and-Run Accident near Gilbert Lindsay Recreation Center

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 13, 2022) — Officials identified 75-year-old Hector Castro Hirales as the deceased in a hit-and-run on April 27.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident happened at about 9:15 p.m. Hirales walked westbound in an unmarked crosswalk across Trinity Street, near Gilbert Lindsay Recreation Center.
 
After that, a silver compact SUV that turned left onto Trinity Street from West 41st Place struck him.
 
The vehicle subsequently fled the scene northbound on Trinity Street.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene. They rushed Hirales to a hospital, where he died of sustained injuries.
