Ethan Carroll Involved in Major Motorcycle Crash on River Road in San Miguel

 
SAN MIGUEL, CA (April 11, 2022) – Police identified Ethan Carroll as the victim who suffered severe injuries in a motorcycle crash on River Road on April 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Verde Place around 5:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, a Honda Civic was making a left turn from Verde at the time of the crash. Due to an oncoming car, he had to stop in the lanes. Subsequently, the car ended up in the path of the motorcycle rider, who was coming from the opposite direction. The right side of the motorcycle collided with the front of the Civic, ejecting the rider into the intersection.
 
As a result, the rider, Ethan Carroll, 23, of San Miguel, suffered major injuries in the crash. Paramedics transported him to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton. The driver of the Honda was not hurt in the incident.
 
Crews closed River Road Verde until they cleared the roadway. The CHP is investigating the crash but said drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
 
Give way to small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles to avoid an accident. Above all, stay in your lane and never swerve in and out of lanes. In addition, always manage your speed and follow road regulations.
