Three-Vehicle Accident on Varner Road in Palm Desert Sends 5 People to Hospital

 
PALM DESERT, CA (April 5, 2022) – Five people were injured in a three-vehicle vehicle on Varner Road in Palm Desert on Friday night.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on April 1 at Avenue 38 east of Cook Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles collided in the area for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, four people suffered serious injuries and one had moderate injuries.
 
CAL FIRE also confirmed that one person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles.
 
The crash shut down Varner Road on both sides. It also caused a big traffic jam on the eastbound side of the 10 Freeway around the Washington exit.
