Man Killed in DUI Accident on South White Road near Castleton Drive [San Jose, CA]

Passenger Dies after Car Crashes into Tree on South White Road in San Jose, Driver Faces DUI Charges

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 14, 2022) – A man died in a DUI accident on South White Road in San Jose, late Saturday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:45 p.m. on February 12, near Castleton Drive. According to the San Jose Police Department, a 2000 Toyota sedan was traveling south on South White Road when it went off the side of the road and slammed into a tree.
 
As a result, the male passenger in the car suffered significant injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later died.
 
The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
 
A woman driving the car was also hospitalized. Police will book her into the Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, as well as driving under the influence.
 
An investigation into this crash is underway.
