Eric Croft Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Washington Street near Highway 299

 
WEAVERVILLE, CA (December 15, 2021) Eric Croft suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Washington Street near Highway 299, Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 6:04 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a dark metallic gray pickup struck 54-year-old Croft. Due to the impact, the pedestrian was sent in a northeasterly direction and landed on the ground. Meanwhile, the driver continued northbound on Washington Street.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and brought Croft to Trinity General with head and leg injuries.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed whether DUI factors into this case. However, anyone with information should call the CHP Trinity River Area office at (530) 623-3832.
