Jason Wheeler and Breteny Grosvener Detained after Car Accident in Fresno, Felicia Madrid Killed

 
FRESNO, CA (December 10, 2021) – Police confirmed the arrests of Breteny Grosvener and Jason Wheeler following a fatal accident on December 6.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Felicia Madrid of Fresno was at a stop sign at Manning Avenue and Elm Avenue around 1:00 PM.
 
Once she started to drive away, officers say 30-year-old Bretney Gosvener blew through the intersection in a Nissan Murano and crashed into Madrid’s car. Two others were with Gosvener in the car. However, none wore their seatbelts. Police later identified the two as Christopher Diaz and Jason Wheeler.
 
CHP says they tried to give medical aid to Madrid, but she died at the scene.
 
CHP says they were all running from an alleged mail theft incident, which remains under investigation.
 
Gosvener was arrested and faces vehicular manslaughter charges.
 
41-year-old Wheeler of Vallejo was arrested for being combative with officers during the investigation and for carrying a concealed knife. His bail is $15,000.
 
At this point, the investigation is still ongoing.
