DUI Driver Killed in Accident on Old River Road in Bonsall

 
BONSALL, CA (November 1, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a DUI accident on Old River Road on October 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Camino Del Rey at approximately 11:45 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, the man was headed west on Old River Road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, his Honda Civic veered into an eastbound lane. Subsequently, the vehicle collided with an oncoming Ford F-350 pickup truck.
 
As a result, the man died in the incident. Officials identified him as a 58-year-old Vista resident. His name was withheld pending family notification.
 
Officials suspected that the victim was drunk at the time of the crash. However, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
