Sideswipe Car Crash on State Street in San Diego, Man Fractures Skull

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 29, 2021) – Police confirmed that a man sustained a fractured skull in a sideswipe crash on State Street on October 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 4:00 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, the victim was exiting his vehicle on the east curb line on State Street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a 1998 Plymouth Voyager hit him. Subsequently, the Voyager also struck the victim’s car.
 
As a result, the 38-year-old man sustained a fractured skull. Immediately, paramedics transported him to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, paramedics said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
 
At this point, the crash investigation is ongoing. Also, the San Diego Police Department did not release further details regarding the case.
