13-Year-Old Girl Suffers Serious Injuries after Hit by Car in Salinas

 
SALINAS, CA (October 6, 2021) – A 13-year-old girl suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on North Sanborn Road in Salinas Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on October 1, at the intersection with Oregon Street. According to the Salinas Police Department, the girl was crossing the street when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck hit her.
 
The impact caused the victim major injuries. Paramedics transported her to Santa Clara hospital in an unknown condition.
 
The 40-year-old driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
