7 Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Accident on Lander Avenue near Highway 99

 
TURLOCK, CA (August 9, 2021) – Seven people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Lander Avenue, Tuesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on August 3. Due to unknown circumstances, a motorcycle, a semi-truck, and five other vehicles collided near Highway 99.
 
CHP, Turlock Fire Department, and Turlock Police Department arrived at the scene to assist the victims. Emergency crews later transported seven people to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
As per reports, responders closed Lander Avenue for more than an hour to make way for clearing operations and an investigation. Lander was later reopened at about 7:30 p.m.
 
CHP and Turlock police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
