Rider Dies in Early Morning Accident with Sedan on East Mission Bay Drive

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 27, 2021) – A motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle accident on East Mission Bay Drive early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 1:15 a.m. on June 26. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 33-year-old victim was riding a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja southbound in the 2500 block of East Mission.
 
For unknown reasons, he lost control of the motorcycle and fell, crossing over into the northbound lanes. A northbound 2016 Toyota Camry then struck him.
 
As a result, the unidentified motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
It was unknown whether the driver in the Toyota or its occupants were injured.
