1 Injured after Pursuit Ends with Crash on Raitt Street [Santa Ana, CA]

Two in Custody after Santa Ana Crash on Raitt Street near Segerstrom Avenue

 
SANTA ANA, CA (June 3, 2021) – One person sustained injuries following a police pursuit crash on Raitt Street, Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the incident happened at about 7:20 p.m. Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle near 5th Street and Laurel Street following a suspected traffic violation. However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and sped through stop signs.
 
A short time later, the fleeing vehicle hit another vehicle before slamming into a tree near Segerstrom Avenue.
 
Emergency crews rendered aid to one victim who suffered minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, authorities detained the fleeing driver and passenger. Authorities did not release the names of the suspects.
 
Santa Ana police continue to investigate the crash. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
