3 Hurt in Burnt Ranch Two-Car Accident on Highway 299

 
BURNT RANCH, CA (May 24, 2021) — Three people were injured in a two-car crash on Highway 299 near Hennessey Road Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:35 a.m. and involved a Toyota and a Dodge. For unexplained reasons, the driver of the Toyota failed to notice a Dodge approaching from the east as she entered the westbound and eastbound lanes.
 
Due to this oversight, the two cars collided and came to rest in a southerly direction in the eastbound lanes.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and extricated the Toyota driver from the vehicle who sustained major injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Along with the patient, paramedics transported a 17-year-old female passenger of the Dodge to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries, as well.
 
Meanwhile, another team transported a 13-year-old male riding in the Dodge to Mad River Hospital with moderate injuries.
