Fatal Rollover Accident on Highway 17 in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 23, 2021) – A woman was killed in a rollover accident on Highway 17 in San Jose Tuesday morning last week.
 
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m., February 16 on the connector ramp from northbound Highway 17 to northbound 280 Freeway.
 
Officers arrived to find a silver-colored 2013 Smart car had gone off the roadway. The car went down an embankment and overturned before coming to a rest against a concrete barrier.
 
As a result, the female San Jose driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release her identity once it has been confirmed and her next of kin is notified.
 
The connector ramp was closed for an investigation until about 2:50 p.m., the CHP said.
