FRESNO, CA (February 3, 2021) – Crews transported a woman to the hospital following a pedestrian accident on Shields Avenue on February 1.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Pleasant Avenue around 6:35 PM.
 
Based on a report, the woman was attempting to cross the street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck her and left the scene afterwards. Upon assessment, police found out that the victim was intoxicated.
 
As a result, she suffered a broken leg in the incident. Emergency crews transported her to Community Regional Medical Center in stable condition.
 
As of now, CHP officers don’t have the details on the suspect vehicle. In addition, they ask anyone with information to call them. An investigation into the case continues.
