Hit-and-Run Driver Injures Pedestrian on Gonzales Road in Oxnard

 
OXNARD, CA (February 9, 2021) — A 29-year-old woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Gonzales Road Friday January 22 in Oxnard.
 
The authorities said that reports about the incident came in at about 11:00 a.m. Officers and paramedics then rushed to the scene at 1201 West Gonzales Road and found a woman with serious injuries.
 
Medical responders transported the pedestrian to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition. Officials said she is a resident of Oxnard but did not disclose her name.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman fled the scene. Witnesses told authorities that it went westbound in the north alley on West Gonzales Road, heading to Ventura Road. There was no word, however, of the vehicle’s make and model.
 
This collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information should call the Oxnard Police Department.
