Jennifer Lourenco, Daniel Lourenco, Maddie Lourenco Among 4 Killed in 2-Car Crash on Greenway Avenue at Highway 165

 
TURLOCK, CA (December 17, 2024) — Jennifer Lourenco, Daniel Lourenco and Maddie Lourenco died in a two-car accident on Greenway Avenue at Highway 165 Sunday morning.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 9:25 a.m. Upon dispatch, authorities found a severely damaged 2023 Jeep SUV and a 2008 Infiniti sedan.
 
Authorities quickly learned that the 22-year-old Modesto man in the northbound Infiniti was barreling down Highway 165 toward Greenway Avenue. Subsequently, his Infiniti sedan plowed into the westbound Jeep SUV that entered the intersection after stopping at the stop sign.
 
All occupants in the Jeep were wearing their seatbelts. However, the Jeep driver — identified as 44-year-old Daniel Lourenco — passed away in the crash. His wife — 45-year-old Jennifer Lourenco — also died, and their 16-year-old daughter Maddie Lourenco passed away at a hospital. The Lourenco’s 19-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son suffered major injuries and were taken to a trauma center.
 
In addition to those who passed, the unidentified Infiniti driver who was not wearing a seatbelt died at the scene. Authorities believed speed factored into the accent but did not confirm if impairment played a role.
