Jessica Fonseca Died, Charles Rubin Charged in DUI 2-Vehicle Crash at Millbrae Avenue and Stony Point Road

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (June 28, 2024) — Jessica Fonseca died in a DUI two-car accident at Millbrae Avenue and Stony Point Road.
 
According to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 10:23 p.m. Friday. For DUI reasons, 54-year-old Charles Phillip Rubin allowed his westbound Fiat 500 to run the stop sign at the intersection. Subsequently, his Fiat crashed into a southbound Nissan Altima, hitting the driver’s side and killing 34-year-old Fonseca.
 
According to family members, Fonseca helped others as an addiction counselor and had been sober for 8 years.
 
After the crash, police arrested Rubin for DUI, booking him into Sonoma County Jail in Santa Rosa.
