3 Hurt in Head-On Crash on China Grade Loop in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 28, 2024) — Three people were injured in a head-on accident on China Grade Loop near Getty Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened Thursday morning. For an unknown reason, two vehicles crashed head-on. Subsequently, the white pickup truck rolled over and landed on top of a pipe in a nearby oil field. Due to the impact, the truck’s axle detached from the vehicle.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded, and crews worked to remove the truck from the pipeline.
 
One person suffered major injuries, and two others reported minor wounds. At the time of the report, authorities did not say what led to the accident. However, they are working to identify the cause.
