1 Dead, 1 Injured in 2-Car Accident at County Road M and County Road 24 [Orland, CA]

1 Killed in 2-Car Crash at County Road M in Orland

 
ORLAND, CA (June 26, 2024) — One person died in a 2-car accident at County Road M and County Road 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 8:00 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a woman driving an eastbound Honda Accord failed to stop at the stop sign with County Road M. Subsequently, her eastbound Honda, traveling at an unknown speed on County Road 24, crossed the intersection and was hit by a southbound 2016 Jeep Rubicon.
 
Upon impact, the Jeep spun counterclockwise and stopped, blocking the intersection, while the Honda spun around and stopped just east of County Road M.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel responded and took the 46-year-old female Honda driver to Glenn Medical Center, where she passed away. Officials have not released her name. As for the 27-year-old woman from Orland driving the jeep, she received care at Enloe Medical for her injuries.
