Woman Dies in Head-On Crash on Old River Road near Martinelli Road [Sonoma, CA]

1 Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Accident on Old River Road in Sonoma

 
SONOMA, CA (July 2, 2024) — A woman died in a head-on crash on Old River Road near Martinelli Road Tuesday night.
 
The two-vehicle crash happened around 10:00 p.m., east of Guerneville. For an unknown reason, an eastbound Toyota Sienna collided head-on with a westbound Chevrolet Sonic when one of the vehicles crossed over the double yellow lines.
 
Subsequently, officers and firefighter-paramedics responded and took the female driver of the Toyota, her passenger and the Chevy driver to a hospital where the Toyota Sienna driver passed away. Her passenger suffered moderate injuries and the Chevy driver sustained major wounds.
 
At this time, officials have not released the woman’s name. If anyone has more to add to this fatal crash, call the California Highway Patrol.
