SANTA BARBARA, CA (July 1, 2024) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Cliff Drive near Loma Alta Drive late Saturday.
 
According to Santa Barbara Police officers, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 11:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in an unknown vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the 800 block of Cliff Drive. Subsequently, Santa Barbara Police responded to learn that the man was hit by a motorist who left the scene of the accident. Due to his injuries, the victim passed away.
 
Officials have not released his identity pending notification of family members.
