Traffic Accident on 5 Freeway in Carlsbad Leaves Rider with Major Injuries

 
CARLSBAD, CA (November 8, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident on 5 Freeway in Carlsbad Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 1:56 p.m. on November 5, along the southbound lanes of the freeway near Cannon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a red motorcycle and a Toyota Sienna collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they located the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries. Paramedics then took the patient to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The condition of the driver of the Toyota was not immediately known.
 
Further investigation is underway.
