Two-Car Accident in Rosamond Leaves 17-Year-Old Driver in Critical Condition

 
ROSAMOND, CA (January 30, 2024)Zach Blackledge was critically injured in a two-car accident in Rosamond late Saturday evening on January 27.
 
The accident happened around 11:25 p.m. on Rosamond Boulevard at 40th Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, Blackledge was driving in the area when he collided into another car, driven by 25-year-old Alanah Cole of Rosamond.
 
Blackledge, a 17-year-old Rosamond resident, suffered major injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed him to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition.
 
Cole only sustained minor injuries.
 
One of the drivers was not wearing a seat belt, officers said.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
